This laptop is perfect for school. I am a freshman and I love how light weight my laptop is. I like the setup of the display screen like how it divides work, learning, internet, settings, etc. There is a webcam inside the computer, so that helps out a lot. This computer will also be great for teaching kids math and typing. Learning games are built into the computer.

I got this as a tool for my company. My two sons and I own a PC business and IT service. We use the Eee PC to test WAN security and stability in the field. We like it because it fits in a tool pouch and takes a beating and keeps on working. It boots up in about 25 seconds. We plug in an external monitor and set it to 1024X768 and can use an external full size keyboard and mouse. We can have it boot to the Linux operating system or to Win XP on another scan disc. It can also be booted to Ubuntu or Kubuntu on another scan disc. I really love that I can lay it on me at night and do work and not disturb my wife next to me in bed. Even though the keyboard is smaller than other laptops, I text a lot on my cell phone and so these keys are no problem for me at all. We have converted several of our movies to scan disc and watch them when we are out and about. We draw a lot of looks when we are using it in hot spots. We have had it for about 3 months and it has never had a virus or spy ware. We are buying two more very soon.

I bought this for my 9 year old computer freak grand-daughter. She loves it! We've had no trouble with it at all. I got it connected to the internet instantly. She can surf the net, email her friends and practice her math. Best buy for entry level lap top.

I didn't want to spend two grand on a lap top that I use a few times a month for business travel and this product delivers what I need for a fraction of the cost. It's a great size -- fits in my purse. I had it up and running in no time and believe me, I'm no techno-whiz. Within 30 minutes of setting it up I made a Skype call. I took it with me to Europe last week and called home (US) on Skype, talked for about half an hour and it cost all of 30 cents. The savings in phone calls from overseas alone will pay for this thing in no time. The only two things I don't like are the short battery life -- I get about one hour when I'm surfing the net or talking on the phone -- and the small keypad. Another reviewer said he wouldn't want to write a dissertation on it and, having written a dissertation, I have to agree. Otherwise, I'd say you get what you pay for with this item -- not more, not less.

i bought this computer for my 11 year old daughter. It is very small, compact just the right size for her. she loves it and carries it everywhere. Graphics, picture are very clear it works just as well as a normal size laptop but smaller . Wireless access which is perfect for her to go onto her club sites. the price was right. For a first time user of the computer this one is perfect.. Best for a child. Adults can use as a take along but the keys are small. I do recomend this computer for everyone use.
