No software, firmware, or manual. You have to go online to get online. Go figure!
I finally got it working and my range has improved but had definite problems in the beginning securing in without instructions. As a matter of fact I think one of my neighbors logged on and created their own secure network before I could figure everything out. Then I had to unplug it for 4 days and go without the internet until they got squared away and I could get on and create my own secure network. Of course my older laptop won't work with the secure network but I planned on scrapping that one anyway. The range is a lot better but I'm not sure if I would buy it again.
