After looking at several different surge masters for my home computer, I chose this one for the price and the protection plan for the attached components. It's great with several large outlets, which are spaced far enough apart for ease of use. I just hated the prior one I had which, although it had 8 outlets, I could only use about 5 because of the size. This one is great in that every last item plugs in without difficulty, plus I have two to spare for temporary additions. You can't go wrong with this item.

Until we can get manufacturers to provide regular power connections on their power bricks, we need power strips with lots of room between connections. Power strips also allow me to turn off everything when I'm leaving for days at a time on business. I also like the idea that it also filters the incoming dsl or cable line.
