Because of several recent rebate offers I decided to try Netgear products (I had linkSys products in the past) In the end I've painfully discovered that no 2 Access Points are truely the same.
First off, advanced set-up documentation is extremely poor(non-existent), and reading the box/product description is a little too vague and can sound misleading unless you know what you are looking for (by this I mean doing extensive online at Nettgear's website as well as other websites)
Apparently this AP will NOT work as a bridge no matter what you try. I have the Netgear wireless firewall router (WGT624v3), and this access point wired to a Netgear 8-Port Switch (GS608). my devices wired to the GS608 will network to the router via this AP, but will not give you internet access!
I called tech support and they said that networking in general is not supported in this setup. My old WiFi-B Linksys products sure did!
I asked if there would be new firmware to possible rectify this problem and they said it wasn't part of their technology (so I guess that is a No) I was told to either buy another one of these devices and have it wired to my router (that way the 2 WPN802 APs would talk to each other correctly). I was told I could also buy the Wireless Print Server (WGPS606) which would then communicate to the router the way I want it too, but it's only half the speed at 54 Mbps!
So, I'm sorely disappointed since I've invested so much time and money with Netgear products and have something that doesn't even do what 5+ year old WiFi-B Linksys products did.
I give 3 stars as it does work good/fast networking to my PCs (wired on the router side of things), no internet.

While the Netgaear RangeMax WPN802 is not the easiest wireless networking device to setup; once it is, it does work very well.
The RangeMax has a much, much greater area coverage with a stronger signal than other similar devices I have used. It has 7 (yes, seven) internal antennas that have led indicators on top of the unit to let you know which ones are in use - a cool (kinda like a lightshow) feature.
I have been pleased with it's performance as an wireless access point, and would recommend it.
